The idea borns from the wording college proposed by university, entitled "Hotel of the Future" and following extensive research on the theme, I discovered that the most representative hotel recently, which had generated more news and the most popular is the "Hotel del Algarrobico" precisely a hotel declared illegal by the High Court of Justice of Andalucia in several judgments so I decided to make a critical project and self-critical with the architecture from Spain in the lasts years.
If we search on this subject, we can observe that Spain is full of cases like this. Lately, the housing bubble has caused a massive destruction of valuable environments and this is especially severe along the coast.
Standing at this phase, i didn’t know what project to do but i knew what kind of Project i should not do, so I take it as no reference own "Hotel del Algarrobico" and i proceed to it analysis, inferring that this is a irresponsible, massive, static, destructive, disrespectful building to the place and to the environment.
Following this, I suggest not to use architecture as a way of colonization of the environment, but to understand architecture as an antiseptic places infected architectural bacteria that the principles are the mathematical inverse of the above mentioned, that this we will try to do a project responsible place and environment that generates minimal impact, adapted to the place, that is dynamic, flexible, ephemeral, lightweight, sustainable, removable, self-sufficient and environmentally.
The program uses generic we have created from a matrix that allows the project to adapt to different situations in different locations, because we need that fits through the interrelationship of place, programs needed at each location, fields of action, users and phases development.
FUNCTIONING
Users are ecologists volunteers, who need an accommodation to stay while the work is doing. The materials extracted from the _ Algarrobico Hotel use them to re-sale and financing of the project. Another factor to work is consciousness-raising at local and global level because, in part, this work has been done to have popular support. We would do courses about the use of the settlement in a respectful way with the place.
On the other hand, we would perform an act of great symbolic value: The Algarrobico Hotel _ is an emblem of no common sense in recent years and his demolition would mean a symbolic action of change cycle.
And finally the restoration of landscape.
THE PLACE
The situation is the Cabo de Gata, specifically in Sierra Cabrera in the town of Carboneras, Almería, Spain. It is a semi-arid area and the topography is quite rugged.
GENESIS PROJECTIVE
ACTION AREA
The area chosen location is the beach to be the most homogeneous point and easier access.

FUNCTIONAL SCHEME
The chosen scheme is the spine. Here we can see the central axis that provide an interface between the sectors that have housed inside a conveyor belt that will serve to construct the building
SECTORS AND FLEXIBILITY.
The central axis are to plug in several sectors This scheme allows a high flexibility and a high degree of adaptation and the sectors can change in size based on the needs.
DISPOSITION
The disposition of sectors in this case will be given by the proximity of the element to be demolished, access, proximity to the sea and the location of the rooms.
Our building will be connected to the bacteria in this case for three conveyor belts used for extraction of materials and store tools.
Finally we will have a ring that will be a space for reflection and spiritual links with the horizon.
GROUND FLOOR
Here we can observe the different sectors, from the most prosaic, linked to demolition, to the most transcendental linked to reflection:
From top to bottom are:
1) Garaje sector machinery and store tools .
2) The second sector is a selling space of extracted materials, offices, greenhouse and nursery fauna.
3) The third of classrooms and workshops.
4) A multipurpose room linked to free time.
5) Area of rooms, bar restaurant, toilets and solar cookers.
6) Finally, this ring is a reflection space that serves to move away from the place as opposed, exalt...
This ring has grooves that look at 4 different points and the proportions of these are given by the place contemplated.
On the first floor we can observe the office area, greenhouse and a multipurpose room class and workshops.
In elevation, we seek to express the duality. Two buildings facing between land and sea, two opposing situations on the limit set by the beach itself ... On one hand showing opaque sectors forming the rhythm of the elevation being sandwich wood panels, polycarbonate and textiles on the other hand the axis of the spine showing permeable and participatory environment with a svelte laminated wood structure. As we approach the ring are emerging a series of vertical wooden elements that are decreasing as we move the distance between them to enhance access to this introverted element.
The greenhouse is formed by hydroponics crops suspended of the structure, thus saving area and delimit the different indoor spaces.
Here we can see the east facade of the greenhouse. The alternation of wood sandwich panels and polycarbonate is given by the orientation and the lighting inside necessary.

ROOMS
The main features are
1) The inclination of the decks looking for to optimize the capture of solar energy.
2) A semi-private courtyard to connect with the sea.
3: A mobile partition that allows combinations across the yard and the room.
4 The facades: the west facade are sandwich wood of pine panels, while the east facade, facing the sea, is polycarbonate with wooden slats.
There are three room types: A, to 2-3 persons. B, for 4-5 persons and C with capacity for 9 persons.
Here, we can observe the combinations of the different rooms.

Support in the field is produced by introducing a pile of laminated wood recoverable metal plates which rest on pillars that can regulate height and adapt to the topography.
Just as not all the cities works a Guggenheim Museum, not all coast towns may follow the model of Benidorm, mutilating their own identity and unique beauty. _ In this case, in my point of view the solution lies in quality tourism and respect, which will enhance natural areas, protect them, and use them, because that is your real treasure.
With this project, we try to provide an alternative, respectful and economically viable to a problem that has lasted 25 years.
This project is a reflection on the housing bubble, causes and consequences.
With this project, we try to think about the principles of making architecture.
In conclusion, with this project, we try to look back, self-criticism, politicians, architects and citizens, learn from mistakes to avoid repeating them more.

This unión is wrought through commercial tissue that attracts a lot of tourists and shoppers who crowd the streets for most of the year. The rest of the year is saturated and is impracticable. It is no place for walkers...
It is no place for walkers because there are several urban problems:
- Compression space. Preciados Street and del Carmen Street are narrow pathways that are not prepared to absorb the large influx of people who approached. It is very common tripping over people going window shopping, people who enter or leaving shops, giving sharp turns or stops to look at something. In addition to performances given help to slow and low fluidity.
- Specifically in our location, the street connects Galdo Street turn Preciados Street with del Carmen Street. This street has a striking contrast with the other two. It's empty, just joined, is underutilized.
Our proposal is born with the urban vocation of not contributing to these problems. To do this we are going to generate a proposal that calls into question the traditional functioning of the stores.
What we do is replace the traditional showcase in facade for indoor public square. With this decision, we try to call into question the conventional trading system in which the process is observe- access to reverse the process access - observe.
This break also serves to attract customers attracted by the surprise and by the output of the conventional rules that are driven looking for new experiences.

In line with these ideas, we try to create a autistic volume with outside, cold, a large dark box, in great contrast to the inside. To do this, we use the facade a polished black granite, while inside we introduce the pavement of the street, looking for continuity, to find a very warm interior space predominate walnut wood on walls and light colors.
In this dark volume, we create perforations that give rise to an erotic relationship with the outside insinuating what's inside without showing it explicitly, enriching the interior spaces with natural light and making it permeable and close to the city that monolith as a priori, self-absorbed.
These openings are positioned based on the composition of the floor helped by the positioning of the steps. This location is designed to generate a movement by a concatenation of indoor and outdoor spaces within the store itself, trying to enrich the circulations inside.

HIGH DISCRETION, HOTEL IN PRINCIPE PIO, MADRID
High-Discretion is the name of the proposal for an internal competition for students at the University Alfonso X "El Sabio" organized in 2011 in the course of Project 2 The project was chosen the winner by the jury of teachers and third most voted for option students. The jury recognized outstanding relationship with the historical elements and "interesting proposal of a door of 21th century to Madrid Rio, reinterpreting the historic concept of "door", so present in this location with the presence of the Puerta de San Vicente of 18th century”

The project is located next to Príncipe Pío, Puerta de San Vicente and Campo del Moro. This site is marked by important historical emblems that constitute it.
One of the main intentions is raise for make the most of plot respecting these elements, without polluting the visual fine what about the Puerta de San Vicente, as occurs today in Puerta de Alcalá (example of how damage one monument without touching it).
The proximity of Principe Pio station makes for a great urban influx that we use to try to draw it into a hotel. We can say that the site marks the beginning of a "distinct" city to the south. This place is the "door" access to a new urban organization as is going to be Madrid Rio, _so we are going to donate our solar field to the city so that space is a place of public access to that "new city ".

This place is the "door" access to a new urban organization as is going to be Madrid Rio, _so we are going to donate our solar field to the city so that space is a place of public access to that "new city ".
For these reasons coupled with the power given use, I believe that the intervention claims an optimistic intervention capable of qualifying public spaces and surrounding buildings by scale and form with discretion and own respect that I think deserves the environment .
The building provides a strategy of coexistence and dialogue with neighboring buildings by staggering, it allows to build a tower with certain entity integrated in the place entity.
In the environment, there are buildings of great entity and quality with which I am not prepared to compete but the gap is greater than 60 meters and the great height of these architectures avoids this "approach".
The urban proposed tries to get away from the idea that public spaces are only to street level, because, in my point of view, makes the high-rise buildings are unused and underutilized sites, contrasting with the great opportunities and sensations offered. Therefore we propose to integrate public uses inside the building creating interior areas above ground level for the public and commercial use in a pill between areas of rooms, encouraging vertical functioning.
Conventionally, these spaces are attached to the base or pedestal construction. By changing the location, we reinterpret this idea. The "base" of the building disintegrates into parts that are going to be accompanying uses spaces for citizens. Through this reinterpretation the socket and the "crowning" is unified.
We try unite Valladolid Avenue and along the Manzanares River by creating a place in the plot flanked to the west, getting an isolation of cars and funneling effect inward.

The facades have different finishes in each of the three volumes making up the building.
Public and commercial space is wrapped with a glass after which, we put a semi-transparent acrylic screens, so that, from the outside, we can sense the life within but without show explicitly, trying to get a space that invites to know entering it.
The smaller volume has a coating composed of two types of materials: sandwich panel with aluminum finish and transparent glass, while the largest volume, is composed of the same materials but with a larger size and with the square pattern rotated to accentuate the change of urban and weather conditions.
West and north elevation
The reason for the choice of aluminum facade panels is their good combination with glass, giving a homogeneous appearance to the whole, but showing subtle differences between the several volumes. This combination makes it reflects a certain extent the environment in the facades fostering integration of the building.

RIGHT OF BATTLEMENT
The "right of battlement" was a privilege that was granted in the Middle Ages to allow the construction of walls.
This privilege was that we had the freedom to follow the team formed by Fabrice Osuna Cangas and Álvaro Fernández Rodríguez when face to VII Concurso Aula Cerámica Hispalyt. This competition demanded a visitor service area and a work area of archaeological campaigns in the walled Rada, Navarra.
Today, the left side of the main entrance, is almost entirely demolished, so we propose a reconstruction of that part of the wall, reinterpreting and adapting the concept to the 21th century, from a deep respect for the original wall.
It is a space of welcome, a threshold confluence different times, hosted by two architectures, without fighting, without overlapping, coexisting in harmony, harnessing each other's...
These spaces, are blocking by a ramp that follows the break between the two walls, crack through which we can see the vast plains of Navarra.

TREE OF KNOWLEDGE
Adán y Eva, Tiziano
The figure of the tree has been a element charged with symbolic content throughout all history for several civilizations,. The Celts adored the oak, the Egyptians associated the cedar with Osiris, god of resurrection_ the Aïnous believed descended from bamboo while in Christian theology, the consumption of the fruit of the Tree of knowledge of good and evil, was original sin committed by Adam and Eve.
The tree is shelter, the origin of life, knowledge_ link with the land_ with the environment and respect, but also darkness...
And we had an empty wall that we needed a bookshelf where put the books... an opportunity! The opportunity to make our own version of the "Tree of Knowledge"
We try to make an original and functional design and also recycling! because the materials are reused steel rods, being zero the cost of the material. Each rack has dimensions based on the content to host. The height at which the models are placed is given by the position of the user's gaze.
This is the final result!
